New Recommendation for Diabetics
Hepatitis B vaccination is now recommended routinely for adult diabetics under age 60. Diabetics age 23 through 59 have more than twice the risk of contracting hepatitis B as people without diabetes. Older diabetics, age 60 and above, “may” be vaccinated –at physician discretion.
